Eleanna Finokalioti, known professionally as Eleanna Fin, is a Greek actress, singer, and performer based in New York City. She is recognized for her roles in the TV series One August Night,[1][2][3] the Off-Broadway musical Anne Frank, A Musical[4], the Broadway bound Goodbye New York: A New Musical[5], the musical Sofia Vembo, I Remember You[6], and the award-winning film The Waiter (Tzeni Vanou)[7][8][9]

Early life and education

Finokalioti was born and raised in Crete, Greece. She studied music and piano at the Greek National Conservatoire and pursued theater studies at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, where she earned a BA in Performing Arts with distinction.[10][11]

Career

Finokalioti began her professional career in 2010 with her involvement in Human Voices.[12]

Theater in Greece

In Greece, she performed in productions such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame[13] and Cabaret at Pallas Theatre[14], and Pios ti Zoi mou – Mikis Theodorakis at Badminton Theater,[15] and To Kaplani tis Vitrinas at Vretania Theatre of Athens[16]. She played the lead role in Mia Amygdalia Anthizi sti Nekri Gi at Paramithias Theater[17], performing the song Anatoli mou,[18] composed by Padelis Thalassinos.

Theater in New York

Finokalioti made her New York debut in 2019 in The Miracle of Christmas at Queens Theater. She made her Off-Broadway debut as Edith Frank in Anne Frank a Musical directed by David Serero at Actors Temple Theater.[4][19]

Also she performed in the Broadway bound Goodbye New York: A New Musical, directed by Andrew Beall, at Theater 555 and 54 Below (Concilia, Dr Boulay).[5]

In 2024, she portrayed Sofia Vembo Greek female singer in Sofia Vembo, I Remember You, directed by George Stamou,[6] at Thespis Theater (2024 GRis Festival). She also played Rizzo in Let's Be Bad: Celebrating Broadway Villains, directed by Rissa Lavilla and Kaitlin Rowan, at 54 Below.[23][not in citation given]

In 2017, Finokalioti released her debut studio album, Taxidia Psichis, by Polymusic,[34][35] in collaboration with classical guitarist Panagiotis Margaris. The album reached the Top 15 of Greek Official IFPI Charts on 10th week of 2017.[36]

Finokalioti and Margaris toured together as a duet in Greece, performing at notable venues, including the Ancient Stadium of Epidaurus.[37]

Since relocating to the U.S., she has performed at concerts, festivals, and private events along the East Coast. In 2024, she released a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love".[38][39]
