Element451 is an American education-technology company that develops an AI-first customer-relationship management (CRM) and student-engagement platform for higher-education institutions. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, the company’s software is used for admissions, marketing, and student-success workflows.[1]
In December 2024, Element451 announced a US$175 million strategic investment from growth equity firm PSG; independent coverage at the time described the product as an AI-first CRM used by more than 250 academic institutions.[2]
History
Element451 was founded in 2017 in Raleigh, North Carolina.[1] In October 2019 the company raised a US$1 million seed round led by Cofounders Capital.[1]
In April 2021 it closed a US$3 million Series A round to expand its student-engagement software.[3]
In October 2023 the company raised an additional US$2 million and hired a chief marketing officer, with local coverage highlighting a focus on AI-based tools.[4] The following week, Element451 announced its acquisition of Enrollify, a higher-education media and resources publisher.[5]
In December 2024 Element451 received a US$175 million strategic investment from PSG.[6][7]
Products and technology
Element451 provides a student-engagement and CRM platform used by higher-education institutions for recruitment, communications, and workflow automation.[1] In 2024, the trade outlet Campus Technology reported the introduction of generative-AI tools including “Bolt AI Assistants,” role-specific assistants for advising, admissions, and marketing tasks, and “Bolt Discovery,” an AI-powered website chatbot.[8][9]
Recognition
Element451 was included on Deloitte’s 2024 North America Technology Fast 500 ranking at number 400, attributed to 272% revenue growth measured from fiscal 2020 to 2023.[10]
