Eliah Jorgensen-Lade (born 1990 in Huonbrook, New South Wales) is an Australian artist. He currently lives and works in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Biography
Born in Huonbrook, New South Wales and raised in Victoria, Eliah has had both country and city upbringing. His close connection with nature and in-depth knowledge of city culture is a continuous theme in all of his work. Eliah was exposed to many forms of art with the nurturing influence of his art teacher mother, Karen Jorgensen-Lade, who regularly took him to exhibitions. This exposure to amazing artworks paired with theory helped cultivate Eliah's skills and knowledge, developing his mind and talent in its own unique way.
After graduating school, Eliah has worked in over 50 different roles, all the while supporting himself to continue his development as an artisan. He moved north in 2018 to be closer to where he was born, helping reconnect him with nature. On the 21st May 2021, Eliah had his first solo exhibition "BRINK!" which focused on the beauty, power and delicacy of life, featuring animals listed as critically endangered.
Currently Eliah is working on his next exhibition "A Day in the Desert" which depicts monumental moments throughout his life thus far in a Western / Cowboy storyline. This exhibition is marked to launch late 2021.
