Ella the Elephant is a series of children's picture books written by Carmela and Steven D'Amico. It focuses on a 7-year-old girl elephant named Ella who goes on wild adventures. A television series based on the book series premiered on September 2, 2013 until January 23, 2014 on TVOKids (Canada) and aired in the United States February 17, 2014 until December 13, 2014.

- Ella - The main protagonist and a 7-year-old elephant who lives in Elephant Village with her mother. She wears a blue dress with a tartan pattern, a white collar, and a gold pin, and a red bow on top of her head. She also wears a red hat with yellow bells and a green garland.
- Belinda - Ella's 7-year-old friend who is a diva. She also likes to dance.
- Tiki - Ella's 7-year-old friend who loves reading and riding on her bike. She has a pet monkey named Lola.
- Frankie - Ella's 7-year-old friend who is the only male in the group.
- Mom - Ella's mother. She is very kind to Ella and is also very helpful.
- Grandma - Ella's grandmother.
- Miss Briggs - Ella's teacher who likes interpretive dancing.
- Mr. Banjo - A delivery elephant who delivers bakery products.
- Miss Melba - Frankie's mother, who owns a bakery.
- Mr. Sneed - The owner of a bookstore.
- Captain Kernel - The lighthouse owner.
- Miss Bell - Ella's other teacher who is in charge of the announcements.
- Miss Sowenso - An elephant at the checkout counter at the grocery store.
- Lola - Tiki's pet monkey.
- Ada and Ida - Twin elephants who sometimes say things at the same time.
- Victor - Ella's friend who is an eccentric musician.
- Daisy Sowenso - One of Ella's friends who is an excellent singer. She is Miss Sowenso's daughter.

- Parrot Man - The owner of Win a Parrot at the carnival.
- Mr. and Mrs. Spindle - A kind couple who are good friends of Ella.
- Mr. Pelican - A boat fixer who builds boats.
