Ellen Jorgenson

Ellen Jorgenson is a molecular biologist, a citizen science advocate, and the co-founder and executive director of Genspace.[1] She has a PH.D in molecular biology from New York University and is currently an adjunct professor at New York Medical College and a visiting professor at Cooper Union.[2]

Genspace[edit]

In 2009, Ellen Jorgenson co-founded Genspace NYC with Dan Gruskhkin, a freelance journalist and self-proclaimed science enthusiast.[3][4] It was later opened to the public on December 10, 2010.[5]
