Christopher David Marks (born July 23, 1984), known professionally as Elmo Lovano, is an American musician and technology entrepreneur. Lovano is the founder and CEO of Jammcard, a social network application for the music industry.[1][2][3]

Early life

Lovano received his first drum kit at the age of one for his first birthday and began playing heavily at age ten. Lovano began his professional career at age fifteen touring with the punk rock band Limitpoint, and at age eighteen, joined the band Never Heard of It.[4]

Career

Since the start of his professional career in the year 2000, Lovano has recorded, toured, or performed with various acts across a plethora of genres, such as Skrillex, Christina Perri, Miley Cyrus, Angus & Julia Stone, James Fauntleroy, Snoh Aalegra, Kilo Kish, Paul Oakenfold, Avril Lavigne, KRNFX, Rob Roy, Andrew Watt, Magic Giant, and The Wild Feathers.[5][6]

Lovano is the producer and host of the online web series "How I Got the Gig", which has featured musicians such as Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper), Adrian X (Drake), Josh Devine (One Direction), Ray Luzier (Korn), Brenda Lee Eager (Ray Charles), Luke Holland (The Word Alive), and an April Fools' hoax episode with Sexy Sax Man.[7]

At age sixteen, while performing on the Van's Warped Tour, Lovano won the World's Fastest Drummer competition, with 947 single strokes per minute.[8]
