Emil Rengle (born September 1st, 1990), known professionally as Rengle, is a Romanian composer, choreographer, dancer, director and singer. He worked with famous Romanian artists such as Antonia, Alexandra Stan and Inna. In 2018, Rengle won the competition 'Romania's got talent'. He founded the musical project called Rengle and released the singles 'Click Click', 'Say Cheese', 'Lost You in Hong Kong' and 'China' through the Roton record house. The same year, Rengle was invited to be part of the artistic team of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Early Life[edit]
Emil Rengle was born on September 1st 1990 in Oradea, Romania. He started dancing at a very young age. When he was 7 he started ballroom dancing. At that age he was very shy and didn't have the courage to invite girls to dance. Therefore, he didn't really understand dancing. When he was 11 he started to fell in love with dancing and continued on this path.[1]
Rengle says he inherited his passion for dance from his grandfather.[2]
He graduated the Art Highschool in Oradea. He moved to Bucharest and started studying at The University of National Theatre and Film. He was accepted to Cambridge University, but he turned it down. He became a national phenomenon in a very short time. At just 18, Rengle became the best dancer and choreographer in Romania. He was mentioned in Forbes Magazine for his influence over the Romanian entertainment industry.[3]
He won the Hip Hop International dance championship and signed the choreography of the first Romanian dance crew to participate in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas. He perfected his dance techniques at Broadway Dance Center New York and Pineapple Dance Studio London.[4]
Rengle collaborated with big-name choreographers such as Sheryl Murakami (Beyonce's choreographer) and Nika Kljun (Kylie Minogue's choreographer).[3][5]

Emil Rengle worked with Romanian artist like Alexandra Stan, Inna, Alex Velea, Loredana, Corina, Antonia, Marius Moga and Anda Adam, creating choreographies and stage concepts.[3]
After becoming a well established coreographer, Rengle decided to conquer another artistic layer: music. With his songs he found success in U.S., Asian and Romanian markets.
He created a new live show concept which combines two artistic branches in a unique way, becoming the world's first DJ to mix on high heels. Rengle takes well known songs (Romanian and international) and adds a personal flavour when it comes to sound and visual, making a dance video and transforming the song into a club remix.
In 2015, he founded the musical project called Rengle. A year later he released the single "Click Click", that reached 466,500 views on YouTube. The music video for "Say Cheese" reached more than 2,6 million.
In 2016 Rengle was a resident performer in Macau, China, in one of the biggest clubs in the world. His show "Rengle Pill" was the highlight of the night. The show promised to be the perfect treatment for the soul and provide the audience with a lifetime memory. In China he shot the music video for the song "China"
In 2017 Rengle released his fourth single called "Lost You in Hong Kong".
In 2018 he performed at Romania's Got Talent, which he also won. He conquered a wide audience as a high heels showman.[7]
Personal Life[edit]
In 2018 Emil Rengle came out about his sexuality in a video posted on his YouTube channel. In the video he said that he wanted to keep this secret his whole life because it is something that has brought him many hardships in his personal life. The choreographer also talked about his mother's reaction when he told her he was bisexual.
He said that he never wanted to tell his mother he was bisexual because he loves her very much and didn't want her to believe that she did something wrong. Rengle recounted that when he told his mother she took him in her arms and they cried.[4]
He received The Coming Out of The Year Award from the most active Romanian LGBTQ Foundation, Mozaiq.
Rengle was a supporter of the anti-referendum campaign in Romania whose aim was to prevent same sex couples from securing the right to marry.[8][9] [10] He supports campaigns that are sensitive to issues such as discrimination, separation and diversity. Rengle works with NGOs and associations whose porpose is to constantly change mentalities, promote equality and cultural, social and sexual tolerance.

In 2007 he started vlogging and started his YouTube platform. Rengle has a strong online community with more than 350,000 subscribers. His YouTube videos have gathered 64,114,135 views. On his platform he started the project called Double Challenge. The first season gathered the Top 10 Romanian singers, influential artists and vloggers. The Double Challenge project involves an exchange of experience. For example, Rengle taught the singers to dance, while the singers taught him to sing.
On his Instagram page, Rengle has more than 340,000 followers.
