Born in London, and raised in Croydon. Emile - who joined Hale End Academy in 2010 - made his first appearance for the under-23s in 2016/17, at the age of just 16., and scored six times in 14 appearances for the under-18s.
Smith-Rowe made his first appearance for Arsenal in the pre-season agasinst Boreham Wood under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery , going on to score his first goal against Athletico Madrid  and making a further appearance with an assist against PSG in the International Champions Cup 
Rowe-Smith made his international debut for England at the under-16 level, playing a match against United States U15 on 16 August 2015. He scored the second goal for England in the 67th minute against under-17 as they won 3–0 against Greece's U17 team .
