Emme McDonnell was a Gaelic football manager and selector. He has managed the Offaly county team, the Westmeath under-21 county team and been a selector of the Kildare county team. He also won a Hogan Cup title with St Mary's.

McDonnell is originally from County Westmeath,[1] from the town of Kinnegad.[2] Before he was appointed Offaly manager, he had managed Meath Intermediate club Ballinabrackey, as well as St Mary's Secondary School to a Hogan Cup title.[3] At the time of his appointment, expections for that team were low.[4] He achieved promotion.[5]

McDonnell gave in his resignation as Offaly manager in June 2014.[6][7] He had earlier been critical of the effect of the advantage rule on Offaly players, suggesting that his players "seem to be more naive than other counties, they seem to be more honest".[8]

After resigning as Offaly manager, McDonnell managed the Westmeath under-21 football team in 2015.[2] He was appointed as a Kildare selector in 2021, having led Tyrrellspass to a Westmeath Senior Football Championship final.[9]

In June 2021, McDonnell was appointed as principal of St Mary's Edenderry.[2]
