Empire Boo Boo Kitty (Empire BBK) is an online magazine featuring trending news and celebrity gossip.[2] The site was launched in 2015 and is based in Maryland. As of November 2017, it attracts over 1 million page views a month.[3]
The name of the site was inspired by one of Cookie Lyon's catchphrases on Empire. "Boo Boo Kitty" is Cookie's nickname for Anika Calhoun.[4] Empire BBK is known for covering Empire, Love & Hip Hop, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian.
