Enzo Tinarelli

Enzo Tinarelli (born 1961) is a mosaicist and professor at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera of Milan.[1] He is of the members of the Empathic Movement (Empathism).[2]

Biography[edit]

Born in Alfonsine Tinarelli always lived between Carrara and Ravenna. He got graduated from the Institute of Mosaic Art in 1980 and from the Academy of Fine Arts of Ravenna in 1984. He has taught in various institutes and academies: Academy of Ravenna, Academy of Carrara. From 2012 to 2017 he was in charge of mosaic techniques at the Academy of Ravenna on a project between the Academies of Carrara and Bologna. In 1982 he was among the founders of the Mosaicists Association of Ravenna. Since 2000 he has collaborated with the International Mosaicists Association. Since 1983 he has frequented France and since 1991 has held a permanent atelier in Biganos, near Bordeaux. Since the 1980s he has exhibited in numerous personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His aesthetic interests range from the experimentation of pictorial to plastic languages, with particular and intense activity in the field of artistic mosaic developed in various research sectors. He is particularly active with exhibitions in France. He has organized and participated in specific conferences on mosaic as a contemporary aesthetic interpretation. He collaborates with numerous artists and designers for the creation of their mosaic projects. Numerous art historians and critics have written about his work in personal and collective catalogues, articles and reviews. Al has held 50 solo exhibitions and participated in over 190 group exhibitions in various countries.[3] In 2023 he adhered to the new literary-artistic-philosophical movement of the Empathism which arose in Italy in 2020.[4]
