Mark Pawlak (born December 28, 1976), better known by his producer name Equalibrum, is an American music producer and skateboarder originally hailing from Connecticut, now based in California.[1][2] He is best known as the other half of the hip hop rapper/producer duo Intuition & Equalibrum.[3] His passion for producing rap music began in his youth, when he found hip hop/rap through his love for skateboarding, and skate video soundtracks.[4] As a duo, Intuition & Equalibrum are best known for their self-entitled album, Intuition & Equalibrum, released in 2013.[5] Mark has also produced a number of instrumental albums, under the Equalibrum moniker.[6] The song "Imagining", he produced for rapper Intuition (Lee Shaner), a biographical account of Intuition's struggle with his father's Alzheimer's, was featured on the front page of WordPress and Reddit, and hailed by the LA Weekly as "video of the year".[7][8]
Career
Equalibrum's first album produced featuring rapper Intuition, was Stories About Nothing, released in 2007.[9] He produced Intuition's second album, Girls Like Me, released in 2010.[10] It featured rappers Nocando and Ex-I and singer Raquel Rodriguez.[11][12] He produced the single "Buzzkill" for rapper Intuition featuring Slug from Atmosphere.[13] [14][15] He produced Intuition & Equalibrum, with rapper Intuition, in April 2014.[16] He produced the song "Hometown (feat Intuition)" on rapper Wax's album "The Cookout Chronicles".[17]
