Eric Bellman LCSW (born 1947) is a psychotherapist in Westlake Village, CA. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and his Masters from Portland State University. He is the originator of the "Bellman Syndrome", as a way of treating Borderline personality disorder. He has numerous awards from the city and county of L.A for his work, and writings and achievements in mental health, juvenile justice and teenage suicide and violence prevention. He is married with children and grandchildren.

Study of Borderline Personality Disorder[edit]
Bellman contributes to the study and treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and has documented a direct association between chronic pain, medication addiction, and personality disorders. This direct association is known as the "Bellman Syndrome".
Serve the Warrior[edit]
Bellman is the Lead Clinical Advisor for Serve the Warrior, an organization dedicated to providing assistance and therapy to wounded war veterans. Both of Bellman's parents served in World War 2.
