Eric Liles is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. Liles had stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, New York Jets, and Central Penn Capitals. He played college football at Dakota State University.

High school career[edit]

Liles attended Gateway High School in Kissimmee, Florida where he started as a true freshmen. Liles transferred to Coolidge High School in Arizona. At Coolidge, he led the conference in tackles his junior and senior year. In 2009, he earned first team all region, first team Allstate and 3A South Defensive player of the year awards. Liles was ranked as a 2 star recruit on scout.com.

College career[edit]

Eric Liles was a 4-year starter at inside linebacker for the Trojans. He was voted team captain twice. He was selected to 5 pre season and post season All American teams. Liles set the single season tackle record with 127 and tied the single game tackle record with 22 in 2012. He finished his career with 395 tackles respectfully.

Professional career[edit]

Liles attended the Minnesota Vikings Rookie Mini Camp in 2013. He tore his ACL and PCL in his left knee shortly after. He had numerous NFL workouts including the New York Jets, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. His arena experience includes the Central Penn Capitals, Philadelphia Birds, Sioux City Bandits, Las Vegas Outlaws and the L.A Kiss. He was also signed with team Collins of Major League Football. He was drafted in round 30 and was the second linebacker taken on his team, however the league never played a game.
