Erick Guerrero is a healthcare and organizations scholar.

Personal life[edit]

Guerrero grew up in Mexico City and currently works and lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife and daughter.[1]

Education[edit]

Guerrero obtained a degree in clinical psychology at the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City and his PhD in social welfare at the University of Chicago. Trained as an organizational and implementation scientist, his program of research focuses on evidence-based and culturally responsive care and healthcare disparities.[2]

Career[edit]

Guerrero received tenure as an Associate Professor from the University of Southern California School of Social Work.[3] Guerrero is Principal Investigator at the I-LEAD Institute, at the Research to End Healthcare Disparities (REHD) CORP.[4]

He spent 13 years providing domestic violence and substance abuse counseling in Chicago [5] He also leads research on organizational capacity to improve delivery of health care for underserved populations.[6] He has developed the evidence to inform manager's practices to achieve results for clients from ethnic minority backgrounds. His scholarship in management and health care has been acknowledged by several organizations.[7]
