Erockfor
Magdalene Ayuk known professionally as Erockfor (Rocky for short) is a Cameroonian-Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal, Quebec. She released her first single "How Will I Know" in October 2019. Erockfor made her musical debut in Seoul, South Korea.
Early life[edit]
Erockfor was born on January 30, 1988 in Montreal, Quebec. She was given the middle name "Erockfor" in honor of her great-grandmother.
Musical career[edit]
In 2017, Erockfor started performing burlesque in Seoul, South Korea on a whim. She soon added singing to her act. January 2019, Erockfor started performing her original songs and jazz standards at jazz bars around Seoul. Her first single "How Will I Know" was released October 2019, and she quickly started getting media attention. Critics have compared her to Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, Macy Gray and Cyndi Lauper. Her second single "Questions" premiered on MTV West Africa.
