History[edit]

Errund was founded in January 2012 as "the service network" by Jacob Ong. It was a platform for users to post errands they need finished or to run errands for other users in order to make some extra income.[8] Errund raised $75,000 of pre-seed funding.[9]

In January 2016, Errund pivoted to its current Uber-like model and bootstrapped its operations for more than a year before its next round of funding.[3][4][6][10]

In February 2017, Errund was one of five companies chosen from 691 startups to qualify for the gener8tor program and raised $90,000 from the startup accelerator.[1][10][11][12]

Operations[edit]

Errund checks the background of all its cleaning professionals in 10 Midwestern cities and matches them with assignments.[2][3][4]
