Evandro Costa Paes, known as Evandro Costa, Evandro Costinha or Ev Costa, (Duque de Caxias, March 11, 1988) is a Portuguese-Brazilian music producer, musician, and radio and internet sports broadcaster.[1] He hosts PBA matches and other sporting events and championships.[2][3]

Personal life[edit]

Born on March 11, 1988, in Duque de Caxias, Costa had a childhood marked by the intelligentsia and is considered literate to 3 years old.

He is a straight edge lifestyle follower, and musician.[4][5][6]

Costa has many tattoos, including a Silver Fern, one treble clef, the custom Yokohama F. Marinos logo with the number 3, in tribute to Naoki Matsuda, and the Japanese words "No Limit!", in mention of his favourite song, the opening of the anime Basquash!, and "Kimigayo" (the Japan national anthem), with a Japan flag.

He has the nickname "Mono" (Monkey in Spanish), by a familiar joke in childhood, and being a big fan of former Argentine goalkeeper Germán "El Mono" Burgos.

Costa is an animal rights advocate and a vegetarian.

He is fluent in European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. He can speak in Catalan, English, Italian, French, Japanese and Filipino.

Broadcaster career[edit]

Costa started his career as a sports commentator on Rádio Campos Difusora, in 2014.

His first match is a Campeonato Brasileiro Série A match, of São Paulo vs Botafogo.

In 2014 World Cup, had his first opportunity as broadcaster, in the Quarter-finals match of Argentina vs Belgium.

In 2015, Costa moved to Rádio Absoluta,[7] but he returned to Rádio Campos Difusora few months later.

Costa narrated have many other events such as Basketball, Baseball, Formula One, and other sports.

In 2016, he was working with the Olympic Games news, and present the program Bate-Bola Difusora.

In April 2, 2016, he narrated his 100th match as broadcaster, in a J.League match of Gamba Osaka vs Yokohama F. Marinos.

Musical career[edit]

Costa is from a family of musicians. He studied music during childhood and taught music classes for several years.

He participated in several bands as a singer and percussionist, and sing in Samba school, in the Brazilian Carnival.

Since 2016, he has been working in music production.
