F1Maximaal is a Dutch motorsport news website, focused on covering the latest news about Formula One. The website was founded in January 2017, in a response to a great rise in attention for the racing series in the Netherlands due to the success of Formula One driver Max Verstappen.[1][2] F1Maximaal is published by the Dutch media company Valkering Media, located in Amsterdam. The target audience of F1Maximaal is Dutch and Flemish Formula One fans. In 2021, F1Maximaal was the third largest Dutch motorsport website in terms of audience.[3]

F1Maximaal was founded by Valkering Media B.V., a Dutch media publisher which has been hosting the AFC Ajax news website Ajaxshowtime.com since 2001.[4][5] Valkering Media B.V. is also the publisher of the cycling news website Indeleiderstrui.nl.[6] F1Maximaal.nl has been online since 1 January 2017 and has been developed and designed by the Dutch company Newsifier. [7]
Since January 2020, F1Maximaal have been publishing a weekly column named "Brokkenpiloten", where the weekly damage costs of Formula One teams are being reported. This column has been widely recognised and has been cited by renowned international motorsport publications.[8]
Editorial staff[edit]
The role of Editor-in-Chief at F1Maximaal is currently fulfilled by four managing editors, namely Christian Moerman, Rick Pasker, Terrence Riepema and Maurits Kappetijn.[7] The editorial staff consists of four full-time editors, namely Mitchel Zandzee, David Ruiter, Mike van Weert and Mika Hofstra.
