FIL Industries is an Indian company operating across multiple locations with its corporate office in New Delhi. Established in 1989, the company develops agri-based solutions and has been involved in apple cultivation initiatives in India.[1]
The company also has business interests in agriculture, food and beverage, health, international trade and mountain infrastructure.[2]
FIL did establish an integrated stone fruit nursery in the year 2023. Additionally, for an apple cluster project, the National Horticulture Board selected FIL.[3][4]
History
In 1989, following India's Green Revolution, Syed Mohammad Iqbal Bukhari the founder of FIL Industries contributed to the development of the agricultural sector in Jammu and Kashmir, India by engaging initially in the trade of crop protection chemicals and ultimately its production.[5]
Over time, FIL established a facility that concentrates apple juice as well as expanded into Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage technology to help reduce agricultural losses.
The company further incorporated its first wholly owned international subsidiary in the Middle East, it also expanded into tourism infrastructure, and established a stone fruit nursery to produce high-density apples.
