FORMATION AND EVOLUTION OF GALAXIES: Starlight synthesis algorithm is a book written by Nick Barua, is an award-winning Business Executive, Entrepreneur and Physicist working in the executive office industry living in Japan. He is the founder and CEO of AN Inc. and the current COO of Swift Xi Inc., a position he has held since April 2018.[1]

Abstract[edit]

This book focuses on the growing interest in precise measurements of velocity dispersion for studying the kinematics of galaxies and active nuclei. It proposes using the absorption lines of the calcium triplet as an effective method for measuring σ, as this spectral region is relatively free from complications. The author's in-depth study of the calcium triplet region was guided by the discovery of an empirical relationship between the mass of the central black hole (M•) and σ. The author has dedicated significant time to developing and refining a method for calculating velocity dispersion and carefully studying uncertainties. By applying this method to numerous galaxies, the author aims to utilize the findings to address various questions about the physics of galaxies.
