Fahim Faisal (Bengali: ফাহিম ফয়সাল; born 1 March 1986) is a Bangladeshi singer, composer, and academic.
Early life and education[edit]
At the age of 10 Faisal was influenced by his elder brother who learned "Sufi Song", who was a student of Music School in Bangladesh.
Faisal obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hon's) and Masters of Arts (M.A.) degree from University of Dhaka. He also completed the 'Professional Sound Management' Certificate Course (studio, broadcast and live recordings for vocals and instruments) in German based Goethe-Institut Bangladesh.
Career in media[edit]
Fahim Faisal has long working experience in various arena of the media (Television, Newspaper, Online portal) of Bangladesh. Fahim Faisal also writes in newspapers, journals, blogs etc. He also writes lyrics.
Career in academia[edit]
He is currently a teacher at Daffodil International University, UGC (University Grants Commission) approved the private university in Bangladesh.
Musical career[edit]
At first Faisal started his singing career by audio label. Now, he is lead vocal artist & composer of Bangladeshi Band SwapnoSur. He also regularly performs songs on television & stage.[1][2][3][4][5] Faisal's solo album name Bhalobashar Shesh Kheyal[6] was released in 2015, from the G Series, the leading music label in Bangladesh.[7][8] It's a mixed album containing songs of different flavor like modern classical, rock melo, Sufi etc.
Faisal has played-back in the first ever sci-fi movie of Bangladesh Porobashinee, directed by Swapon Ahmed, mostly known for his movie Lal Tip. Faisal performed several commercial & charity concerts in the University of Dhaka, different charity shows and national programs i.e. Victory Day, Independent Day, Pahela Boishakh (Bangla New Year Celebration), New Year Celebrations, Eid, Puja etc.
