Fairest is a contemporary artist and photographer known for his minimalist style and use of found objects, particularly electronics. The artist, whose identity remains unknown, resides and works in SoHo, New York.

Life and career[edit]

Little information is available regarding Fairest's personal life and background. However, it is known that the artist's interest in art developed after a near-death experience.[1]. Fairest's studio is located in the same building that once housed Korean American artist Nam June Paik's studio on Greene Street in the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District.

Work[edit]

Fairest's work is characterized by its minimalism and use of found objects ("objet trouvé") as a reminder that beauty can be found in unexpected places and that art has the power to transform the mundane into something extraordinary.

The artist draws inspiration from New York City and its rich history, as well as technology[2]. Notable artists who have influenced Fairest include Nam June Paik, Donald Judd, and On Kawara.

Fairest has also ventured into the realm of artificial intelligence, designing the first AI-generated deck of cards for David Blaine's company Red Black Inc[3]
