Faith is the upcoming posthumously released second studio album of American rapper Pop Smoke. It is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021, by Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records.
The album was announced on June 24, 2021 as a self-titled album. It was available for pre-order with the "Outro" of the album as the lead single for the album. However, on July 11, Steven Victor revealed the album's official title as FAITH.
Background and recording[edit]
In early 2021, producers 808 Melo[1] and Rico Beats[2] began teasing a second posthumous album from Pop Smoke on their social media with Rico Beats informing that the album is 95% complete on June 16.[3] The outro for the album was released on June 23 as the lead single.[4] The project was officially announced on June 24 and was accompanied by a teaser trailer[5] along with the confirmation from Pop Smoke's manager Steven Victor that the album would be self-titled. However, on July 11, the album was retitled to Faith.[6]
Promotion[edit]
Snippets of three songs titled "Demeanor", and "Brush Em" and another untitled song surfaced online across posters found in New York and Lost Angeles.[7] A website featuring a lottery ticket allowed fans to scratch off a ticket revealing a track off the album.[8]
