Fall of Envy is rock band from Orlando, Florida that was formed in 2005 by Tom Harrington, Greg Harrington, and Michael T. Baker.

History[edit]

Formed in 2005, Fall Of Envy is a six-piece, melodic, hard rock band based out of Orlando, Florida. Fall Of Envy consists of Michael Baker (lead singer), Tommy Harrington (lead guitar), Chris Gaarlandt (rhythm guitar), Dave Rivenbaark (bass) and Brandt Frenchman (percussion). Late member Greg Harrington was one of founding members of the band.

Fall Of Envy has opened for several national acts including Guns N' Roses, Papa Roach, Sevendust, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Chevelle (band)|Chevelle, Buckcherry, The Used, and Nonpoint. In 2008, Fall Of Envy released their first, full-length album Poetic Rage. It was recorded and produced by Justin Thomas. Since then, Fall Of Envy's music has appeared on numerous radio stations. "Fix Myself" was featured in a cross promotion with the CW network (CW-18) for over 5 months which included a video, recorded in the CW studios. It was incorporated into the 30 and 60 second promotional clips for shows such as 90210, Supernatural, and The OC. In 2009, Fall of Envy became the XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championship) official band. The song "For You" was chosen as the theme song for the XFC's nationally televised MMA fight series, which premiered in April 2009. Fall Of Envy licensed some songs to Channel One News.

The band has released music videos for songs “Solace” and "Face To My Fist".

The band’s name derives from a desire to achieve their dreams, without having to envy the success of others.

Recent[edit]

Fall of Envy was official band of the XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championship). Their track, “For You” was chosen to be the theme song for the XFC’s nationally televised Mixed martial arts|MMA series. It premiered in the spring of 2009.[1]

"Smoking Gun" from the album Poetic Rage was played on the Lex and Terry show during their music meetings on February 9, 2009.[2] It was also featured in the action film Icarus_(2010_film)|Icarus.
