Fearless: Year of Shadow
Fearless: Year of Shadow, simply Fearless or Year of Shadow, was a marketing campaign launched by Sega on April 9, 2024,[1] and concluded after 2024. The campaign serves as a tribute to Shadow the Hedgehog, a fan favorite character from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.[2]
Overview
The campaign includes various merchandise and releases themed around Shadow, prime examples being the release of Shadow Generations and his appearance in the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film.[3] Other releases include events in Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle where players can unlock Shadow variants.[3][4][5] A Lego set was released prior in 2023.[1] A tour took place in Austin, Texas from April 12, 2024, to April 14, and in August in the United Kingdom, which showcased a recreation of Shadow's signature motorcycle, the Dark Rider.[1][5][6] Sonic Symphony included songs related to Shadow in its set list.[3][6][7] A limited-time pancake flavor Shadow’s Chaos Chocolate Pancakes was available at IHOP until May 5, 2024.[6][8]
