Felix Indermaur is a Swiss author, storyteller, clergyman, and winegrower. As an oenologist and viticulturist in the Rheintal, he worked in the vineyards at Rosenberg Castle and leads tours through vineyards and wine cellars in Berneck. Indermaur served as the President of the Weinbau-Genossenschaft Berneck from 1999 to 2000, as Managing Director from 2000 to 2008, and as Torkelmeister from 2006 to 2008. He was authorized by the European Night Watchman and Watchman Guild to serve as the Watchman of Berneck.

A writer and storyteller, Indermaur began documenting his own childhood memories, as well as local stories, in 2021. He has performed his story collection, titled Scho goat, throughout St. Gallen. He also served as a minister in the Swiss Reformed Church.

Indermaur was born in Berneck, St. Gallen. A member of the Indermaur family, his ancestors served as government officials in Berneck.[1][2] He grew up along the Kübach river in Berneck.[3]

Indermaur is a retired winegrower.[4][5] Indermaur served as the Managing Director of the Weinbau-Genossenschaft Berneck (wine-growing cooperative) from 2000 to 2008. He had previously served as the cooperative's president, from 1999 to 2000, and served as Torkelmeister from 2006 to 2008.[6] As an oenologist and viticulturist, he worked at the Rosenberg Castle vineyard and has led tours around Berneck's various vineyards and wine cellars.[7][8]

He also served as a minister in the Swiss Reformed Church.[7][9][10] He serves on church council of the Evangelical-Reformed Parish of Berneck-Au-Heerbrugg.[11]

Indermaur is the Night Watchman of Berneck, authorized by the European Night Watchman and Watchman Guild.[12][13]

A storyteller, he performs from his collection of Berneck stories titled Scho goat.[4] He began writing and storytelling as a way to record his childhood memories, from the 1950s and 1960s, and to pass them down to his grandchildren.[4][3][14] In November 2017, Indermaur performed his stories, including one about the Great Village Fire of 1848, at the Musikverein Berneck.[15] In 2022, Indermaur spoke about Rheintal customs at a regional Swiss National Day celebration for Berneck, Au, and Heerbrugg in Heerbrugg.[16]

Indermaur has four children.[11]
