Fernando Poma

Fernando Poma (born 1971), the oldest son of Ricardo Poma. Fernando is currently the Executive Director of Real Hotels and Resorts,[1] a hotel operator in Latin-America based in El Salvador with 21 hotels in 9 countries which represents three international hotel brands: Marriott International, IHG InterContinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Poma, as well as member of the Investment Committee for Grupo Kriete.  

Fernando graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and after working several years in Europe he studied an MBA at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Poma actively participates in several social projects, one of the projects in which Fernando is involved is Fundación Renacer,[2] where he is vice president and manages the organization. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the following social institutions: Salvadoran Foundation for Health and Human Development (FUSAL), the Advanced School of Business and Economics (ESEN)[3] and Fundación Poma, focusing on culture, education and health programs in El Salvador.

Since his youth, Fernando has been a passionate musician. He started playing the drums at a very young age, but on the way, he found the guitar to be his favorite instrument. Music played an important part during his high school and college years. In 2014 he founded Steady Rollin,[4] a rock band where he is the lead singer, guitarist and composer. In December 2017 Steady Rollin launched Love&Loss, their first album.
