Fida Firdous

He is known for his literary work, promotion of border tourism, and initiatives in educational reform and cultural heritage preservation. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the North Kashmir Gazette[1] and President of the Kashmir Writers Association.[2]
Early life and education
Fida Firdous was born on 1 April 1980 in Langate, North Kashmir, into an agriculturist family. He holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Peace Studies, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Management. He is pursuing a PhD in Political Science.
Career
Firdous is the Editor-in-Chief of the North Kashmir Gazette.[3]
His Project Zimidari[4] combined literary work with grassroots action to promote education in socio-economically backward areas of Kupwara district.
Firdous is recognized[by whom?] for promoting border tourism in North Kashmir. His campaigns,[5] publications, and events have sought to rebrand LoC-frontier areas as destinations for peace, culture, and sustainable development.
