Fireball is a roller coaster located at Adventureland (New York) in East Farmingdale, New York. The coaster opened in May 2022 on a compact plot of land, replacing 2 kiddie rides, which were relocated to other spots in the park.

History[edit]

In November 2019, park officials came across the Roller Ball model at the IAAPA trade show and planned to construct and open Fireball for the 2021 season. However, issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the ride's announcement and opening until the 2022 season.[1]

Fireball was officially announced on November 19, 2021[2] as new for the 2022 season. In order to make room for Fireball in the northwest corner of the park, Bungy Jump and the Kiddie Carousel had to be removed.

Construction on Fireball started in late March/early April 2022, and was completed in late April. Testing begun soon after in May, and the grand opening was listed by the park as June 24, 2022. However, Fireball had a soft opening on May 21, 2022.
