From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

FirstImpression.io (originally AppendAd) is a privately held technology company.[1] It creates and customizes display advertising placements for publisher websites[2] without technical work or hard coding.[3]

As of January 2017, it had 20 employees.[4]

History[edit]

In 2013 FirstImpression.io was founded by Roy Peleg, the company’s CEO.[5] Omer Muller joined as co-founder and CTO. In August 2014, the company received an undisclosed amount of investment[6] and took part in the UpWest Labs accelerator in Silicon Valley.[7]

In 2015 it shifted focus from small publishers to mid-tier and large publishers, and increased the number of ad formats it offers.[8]

FirstImpression.io is now headquartered in Tel Aviv. In 2015, it was named by Inc.com as one of the “hottest startups in Israel.”[9] In 2017, it featured on an industry map of Israel-based advertising technology companies who operate globally.[10][11]

Product[edit]

FirstImpression.io’s technology is used to complement a publisher’s existing advertising setup.[12] It creates tailored ad placements for specific page layouts, users, and editorial requirements.[13][14] These include a range of display, video, and native formats on desktop and mobile.[15]

The technology requires a one-time integration with the publisher's website.[16] There is no other hard coding or technical work.[17] Placements are monetized either by the publisher or by FirstImpression.io.
