First Contact [1] is the first studio album by Greek electronic music composer Sakis Gouzonis, released on August 8, 2008 [2].
The album includes 10 original electronic music tracks. All music tracks were composed, orchestrated, recorded, mixed and mastered by Sakis Gouzonis in his recording studio in Elassona, Greece.
Three of the album's tracks won music awards. In the international Composition Competition 2007, Sakis won 3rd Prize for his original electronic music track Anthem Of Love and a Commendation Award for his original electronic music track Give Me A Chance [2]. A year later, in the international Composition Competition 2008, Sakis won 3rd Prize for his original electronic music track Elegy [2]. Two years later, in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010, Sakis won a Semi-Finalist Award for his original electronic music track Elegy [3] [4].
When asked about First Contact, Sakis Gouzonis said: "First Contact is my first contact with my listeners, and I am really looking forward to their reaction. The album contains ten electronic music tracks about the connection between the earthly and the celestial, the tangible and the intangible, the known and the unknown." [5]

Sakis Gouzonis, also known to his listeners simply as Sakis, is a Greek electronic music composer, orchestrator, producer and performer.
Through the years, Sakis has earned a global following for blending electronic with classical orchestrations. Since August 8, 2008, Sakis has released 17 electronic music albums, each containing 10 original music tracks. In addition, Sakis has received several music awards both inside and outside Greece, including two 1st Prizes in the international Composition Competition 2010, and one 1st Prize in the 2nd Meeting of Music & Poetry 2009 [7] [8] [9] [10].
Sakis originally gained fame through MySpace [11], once the world's largest social network. Within a short period of time, Sakis Gouzonis topped the MySpace Music Charts in Greece [12], and gained hundreds of thousands of friends worldwide. Today, Sakis Gouzonis is still the most popular Greek artist on MySpace, having more than 380,000 friends. He is the first and only Greek artist to reach that level of fame and success on MySpace.
On August 1, 2008, Sakis launched his official website [13]. His official website made it easy for his listeners to find his full biography and discography, as well as photos and album covers, album reviews, articles, interviews, news and other interesting stuff.

In an interview with Stereo Stickman e-magazine, told them "What keeps me motivated to create is my constant desire to explore new musical horizons. I like getting up in the morning with the hope that today I will write something that really matters to people; I like the feeling of making a difference in someone else's life." [23]
