Five Horse Johnson is an American band from Toledo, Ohio, formed in 1995. They have toured with groups such as Clutch and Halfway to Gone. The Mystery Spot featured many special guests including drummer Jean-Paul Gaster from Clutch; on a related note they have played a worldwide tour with Clutch and Dub Trio.
"Mississippi King" from The No. 6 Dance is featured on Tony Hawk's Underground and NHL 2K6, and "I Can't Shake It" from The Mystery Spot is featured on MLB 2K7. "Sweetwater" from The Last Men on Earth is featured in the American Chopper video game based on the TV Series American Chopper.
Eric Oblander was featured on the Clutch album From Beale Street to Oblivion.
After a hiatus in the late 2000s, Five Horse Johnson is now active. They played shows in Europe in mid-2011 and released "The Taking of Black Heart" on November 13, 2012.
