Flash Bang Band is a three-piece Noise Pop band based in Brighton.

Overview

After starting in 2008, the band self-recorded an EP titled 'Random Acts of Kindness,'[1]

In early 2011, they staged a sold-out gig on a bus in support of a local hospice[2] A film crew from SHOUT! TV was on board.[3]

The band have supported The Phoenix Foundation, Cloud Control, The Lovely Eggs and Bearsuit. They held a single launch party in July 2011 to release debut double a-side single 'Cupid/If You Can't Be Calm' on the band's own 'Imitation Records' label, former Clor frontman Barry Dobbin's new project Barringtone and Nordic Giants provided support.[4] In November 2011, they supported Dananananaykroyd[5] during their farewell tour.

At the end of August 2014, Tom Robinson included 'Art History' in his BBC 6 Music mixtape,[6] with John Kennedy of XFM making it his 'Xposure big one' the same week.[7]
