Kimani Tariq Kamiru-White (born: August 7, 1995), better known online as FlightReacts (or simply Flight), is an American YouTuber and musician best known for his reaction videos, often to NBA games. He currently lives in California.
Early life[edit]
White was born in Washington D.C. but grew up in West Palm Beach , Florida where he went to High school. His father was a Wildlife Photographer and his Mother mainly worked from home. Flight gained confidence in performance from a young age rehearsing rap lyrics in front of his class in Elementary school. After surprising his teachers in his acts, this propelled him to develop a love for entertainment, performance and music. His biggest influences growing up were Allen Iverson, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Lil Wayne, Fabolous and later Stephen Curry; with the former cosigning him on numerous occasions. Flight found Middle School to be tough, at times he was close to being influenced to join gangs, start drug habits and causing violence which would have intercepted his daily life. Flight also experienced bullying in Middle School and was frequently bullied for the clothes and sneakers he would wear, this ultimately was the catalyst in Flight becoming distracted from his academics, getting into school fights and surrounding himself with negative influences. Flights next chapter would come at Palm Beach Central High School where he would play for the school's Basketball Team. Flight tore a ligament in his ankle and his progress would be stunted and was deemed ineligible to return, due to his GPA being lower than 1.5.[1]
Flight turned to a range of different drugs but most notably Marijuana. Flight took a part-time job at Steak 'n Shake however due to showing up high regularly he was dismissed. As he continued to attend his lessons high in the Tenth Grade of high school the nickname Flight came to be. During this period Flight started to create on his Youtube channel and when he discovered he could make a career out of one of his hobbies, he progressed into becoming a full time YouTuber. Prior to starting his Youtube channel, he worked at a Chick-fil-A so that he could afford his recording equipment. Flight was a 5 year Senior due to his poor GPA however, he finally got his Diploma and was given an offer from Yale University however after attending for one month he dropped out to fully pursue his Youtube career. White has also released several singles over the years and his most popular song, "Disengenous" has currently amassed 8.6 million views and a further 16.4 million streams on Youtube.[2]

On his channel, he mainly posts reaction videos, often to NBA games and highlights. He also often posts basketball videos, often 1V1s against other YouTubers, which in the past has included RiceGum and Jesser. He also often posts gaming content on his second channel NotYourAverageFlight.

Aside from his YouTube channel, Flight also makes music. His most popular song by far is Disingenuous, which has over 8.1 million views on his channel, and you can listen to his music on SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music.

On June 1st, the Golden State Warriors signed White on a 2 year contract.
