Lethabo Sebetso (born 28 May 1996), known professionally as Focalistic is a South African rapper. Born in Pretoria and raised in Midrand, he gained attention in 2017 from his single "Fakimali", won Freshman of the Year award.[2][3]

His first two Extended Play Quarantined Tarantino and Blecke (2020), both of which were influenced by Hip hop. The chart-topping single "Ke Star", hurled him to international fame.

Lethabo Sebetso born 28 May 1996 in Pretoria and grew up in Midrand, raised with his Grandparents. Baptized in a Christian church, he used to take part in church choir. [4]This marked the beginning of his musical career.[5] He graduated at the University of Pretoria were he was awarded his Plitical Science degree[6]

Career[edit]

In 2018, he signed a record deal with Major League Music and release his single "19 Tobetsa", which debuted on local iTunes top 10 charts single.[7] On April 25, 2020, his Extended Play Blecke was released.[8] It produced three singles; "Ke Star", "Billion" and "Blecke". The single "Blecke" was certified with gold plaque.[9] On May 1, 2020, he released a single "Ke Star" featuring Vigro Deep.[10] The song charted on spotify and apple music.[11][12] The song was certified Platinum in South Africa.[13]

On December 4, 2020, his studio album Sghubu Ses Excellent was released.[14] The album features 25K, Abidoza, Junior Taurus, Semi Tee, Virgo Deep, Mas Musiq, Reece Madlisa, Tyler ICU, DJ Venom and DJ Maphorisa.[15]

On Febraury 26, 2021, "Ke Star" remix was released with Davido featuring Virgo Deep.[16][17][18] The song peaked number number 8 on Billboard Hot 100 charts.[19]
