Folk soul

Folk Soul, also known as Solk, is a type of music genre that combines the Folk and Soul music genres into its own genre of music.

History

Soul and folk both have their roots in poverty, soul comes from the "black" background, folk from the "white" background. Neither form developed under the power and influence of royal patrons or big business, but rather in their respective cultural mainstreams during hard times.
