Fortress is an upcoming American action film directed by James Cullen Bressack. Produced by Randall Emmett, it stars Jesse Metcalfe, Bruce Willis, Chad Michael Murray, Kelly Greyson, and Natalie Burn. Filmed in Puerto Rico, the film serves as the first in a trilogy and will be followed by The Fortress 2 and The Fortress 3.
The film is scheduled to be released in select theaters and on video on demand on December 17, 2021.
Premise[edit]
The story revolves around a top-secret resort for retired U.S. intelligence officers. A group of criminals led by Balzary breach the compound, hellbent on revenge on Robert forcing the retired officer and his son to save the day.

Production[edit]
Fortress was announced on May 3, 2021, as part of a trilogy of films starring Jesse Metcalfe, Bruce Willis, Chad Michael Murray, and Kelly Greyson. Principal photography began in Puerto Rico that same day. The second film, titled The Fortress 2, was shot back-to-back with the first;[2] production on the trilogy is set to conclude on November 3, 2021.[3][4][5] On May 15, 2021, director James Cullen Bressack revealed that filming on the first film had wrapped.[6]
