Frédéric Genta is a Monégasque businessman and politician born in 1981. Since 2018, he is a member of the Government of Monaco, in charge of attractiveness and digital transformation.[1]
Career[edit]
Frédéric Genta graduated from ESCP Europe et holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He started his career at Orange and Amazon.
In 2013, Genta joins Google as Head of Retail France.[2] In 2017, he becomes in charge of a strategic partnership with Walmart.[3]
In Monaco[edit]
In 2018, Genta joins the princely government as interdepartmental delegate in charge of the digital transition (a mission similar to a Digital Minister and a Chief digital officer) of Monaco's government, directly reporting to the Prime Minister.[4]
His missions cover e-government, the IT Department of the State, and the Monégasque Digital Security Agency.[5] He supervised the launch of the 5G deployment in 2019,[6][7] and independent cloud,[8] and the creation of the digital identity of Monaco for residents and visas in 2021.[9]
In 2022, his functions are extended to the global attractiveness of Monaco.[10][11]
