Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli, is an autonomous institution located in the town of Tirunelveli in the state of Tamil Nadu. Tirunelveli is often referred to as the 'Oxford of South India' due to the large number of educational institutions present. The Francis Xavier Engineering College, popularly known as FX Engineering College, was established in the year 2000.
It has been awarded the prestigious 5-star rating by the Union Ministry of Education under its National Innovation and Startup Policy 2020.[1]
