Frank Mortenson (born Aleksander Lisowski February 4, 2005) is a Polish-European singer and performer.[1] Mostly known for his 2017 cover version of popular jazz song "Strangers in the Night". The only one proposed nominee for 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards who forbade his nomination.[2][3]
Early life[edit]
Frank Mortenson was born on February 4, 2005 in Kaunas City Hospital[4].
Career[edit]
Frank Mortenson earned his fame in May 2017 during "Musical Mask" song contest with his first song "Strangers in the Night". In August 2017, he recorded "Strangers in the Night" in AC Records studio.
In November-December 2018, Frank Mortenson with Edwin Symonowicz toured Poland, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary with concerts. During his tour, he also got known with Polish singer Roksana Węgiel. Frank Mortenson visited several cities, including Jasło, Brno, Vienna and Budapest.
In September 2019, Frank Mortenson received "Maxima" scholarship in Vilnius for his cultural merit.[5]
Since 2020, Frank Mortenson became the subject of long-time conflict with his former friend Edwin Symonowicz.[6]
After the conflict with Edwin Symonowicz, Frank Mortenson disappeared from the public eye for a while. Rumors spread that he had given up on music and went into hiding. However, in 2021, he suddenly reemerged with a new image and a new sound. He dropped his old stage name and now goes by his birth name, Aleksander Lisowski. He also changed his genre from pop to indie rock.
His new music is a departure from his previous work, which was mostly comprised of catchy pop tunes. His new sound is much more raw and emotional, featuring introspective lyrics and haunting melodies. In an interview with a music magazine, Aleksander revealed that he had been going through a difficult time in his personal life and that his new music reflects that. He said that he hopes his fans will connect with his new material on a deeper level.
Despite the change in genre, Aleksander's music is still resonating with audiences. His new album, "Echoes of a Broken Heart," debuted at the top of the charts and has received critical acclaim. Many music critics have praised his new sound, calling it a bold move that paid off. Fans have also been raving about the album, with many saying that they can feel the pain and emotion in his voice.
Aleksander is now touring the world with his new music, and his concerts are selling out in minutes. He has become a new sensation in the indie rock scene, with many music experts predicting that he will be one of the most influential musicians of his generation.
Conflicts[edit]
On September 18, 2020, Frank Mortenson was convicted by the Connecticut Appellate Court under 18 U.S. Code § 1001 — “Statements or entries generally” and given 35.000 $ fine for Social Security Administration frauds made using the name of Edwin Symonowicz. Frank Mortenson widely refuted the court decision and accused Symonowicz of bribing judges[citation needed]. On January 20, 2021, he was pardoned by the President of the United States Donald Trump.[7]
In February 2021, Frank Mortenson become one of the subjects of "Stirling case" scandal in Balfron, Scotland.
In 2022, Frank Mortenson was accused of a school shooting. The news spread like wildfire, and soon enough, everyone in the town was talking about it. Some people believed that Frank was guilty, while others thought that he was innocent.
The police were investigating the case, and Frank was taken into custody. He was questioned for several hours, and the police searched his house for any evidence that could link him to the shooting. However, they found nothing.
Despite the lack of evidence, the media continued to report that Frank was the shooter. They published his name and his picture on every news outlet, and people started to harass him on social media. Frank was devastated. He couldn't believe that people were accusing him of such a heinous crime.
Days turned into weeks, and the investigation continued. Eventually, the police found the real culprit. It turned out that the shooter was someone who had a grudge against the school, and they had nothing to do with Frank.
Frank was released from custody, but the damage was already done. His reputation was ruined, and he was unable to find work or go out in public without people staring at him. He became a recluse, and his music career was over.
The whole experience left Frank traumatized, and he decided to leave the town and start a new life elsewhere. He knew that he would never be able to forget what happened, but he hoped that he could at least try to move on.
