Francesco Stella, also known as Franz Alice Stern, is an Italian electronic music producer, composer and DJ that lives in Berlin.[1]
Biography[edit]
Franz started studying classical composition and piano at the age of four. When he was nine, he discovered electronic music and fell in love with musicians like Kraftwerk and Plastikman; despite all, his "classic" background helped him to define a personal style; Is's very easy to recognize his productions, which mix arpeggios of Johann Sebastian Bach with drums and bass from the Detroit techno. He started playing in Bari at the age of 13, but Franz Alice Stern's first release came in 2014 on the German label Trapez LTD, followed by another one on Get Physical Music. In 2015 he released several singles and remixes, such as Fritz Kalkbrenner - One Of These Days (Franz Alice Stern Remix) . His reinterpretation of Rauschhaus - The End Of All Thing on Submarine Vibes was inserted at the 74th place of the bestseller in 2016 by Traxsource [2].
Since 2015, he started touring regularly [3] [4] and he made his debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2016 [5], shortly before joining the German label Katermukke. In October 2018, the electronic music magazines When We Dip [6] and Electronic Groove [7] announced the release of his new EP "White And Black" on the French label Lost On You , 100% of the revenues will be donated to charity.
Private Life[edit]
Stern studied law at the University of Bari, and from 2013 he is socially engaged in the fight against poverty and strongly supports various humanitarian organizations. [8] Since 2015, he lives in Berlin.
