Muwema Fred (born 1971), is a Ugandan lawyer and businessman[2]. He is the founding Partner of Muwema & Co. Advocates a law firm in Kampala, Uganda[3]. He served as the SC Villa president between 2010 to 2012[4][5].
Background and education[edit]
Muwema was born in Jinja District to Patrick Muwema and Robinah Muwema. He is the 3rd born in a family of 11 children. He studied from Victoria Nile Primary School (1984-1987), Namasagali College for O level (1984-1987) and completed his A level from Jinja College in 1990[2][6]. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, obtained from Makerere University and a postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre Kampala[3][2].
Career[edit]
He served as a law lecturer in 1994 at Namasagali University before joining Kabugo & Company Advocates as an associate and later at Isanga Musumba & Company Advocates[7][8][5][2][9]. In 1998, Muwema founded Muwema and Mugerwa Company Advocates, a Kampala-based law firm[10][2]. He has handled complex cases in corporate finance, investment and tax administration, intellectual property, constitutional and administrative law[3][11].

Muwema is a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society, and the International Bar Association[12][7].
Other considerations[edit]
He served as the president of SC Villa from August 2010 until July 2012.[13][14] [2] He was part of the team that introduced Ugandan Football on Satellite Television through a US$5m Sponsorship Contract with SuperSport between 2009– 2013[4][5].
