Fusebill is an Ontario-based company that provides automated-billing and payment solutions.[1] The company specializes in software that assists small to mid-sized businesses with automating invoices, billing, and collections of recurring revenue and subscriptions.[2] The company was founded in 2011.[3][4]

Co-Founders Tyler Eyamie and Greg Burwell were also members of the executive team that helped develop the Ottawa-based company Protus.[3][5][6]

In 2013, Tyler Eyamie was a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award.[7]

Growth and development

Fusebill moved its headquarters to a new, 4,000-square-foot facility in Kanata in late 2012.[1][3]

The company currently has a staff of 16 and a client roster of over 100.[3][1]

OMERS Ventures and Covington Capital investment

In Spring 2013, OMERS Ventures and Covington Capital invested $2 million in the company.[2][8][9][8][1][10] Fusebill CEO Steve Adams indicated the company has plans to use the money to shift its focus from product development to sales and marketing.[3][8][10] OMERS Ventures managing director Derek Smyth expressed optimism in the company’s software-as-a-service billing and analytics capabilities for small to medium-sized businesses.[11][2]

The investment was the second of its kind made by Covington Capital, who previously invested $900,000 in Fusebill with Capital Angel Network in 2012.[3]
