Future ship project 21
Future Ship Project 21st century (FSP21)
FSP21 is a proposal to construct a replacement vessel for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's yacht "HMY Britannia", retired in 1997.
It is to be funded by public subscription and will be a four masted "tall ship" but will incorporate many modern innovations and be multi-use as it will have to be self-financing.
Additionally to transporting the monarch it is to be used as a sail training ship and to promote British business interests throughout the world.
When completed it will be the largest ship of its kind in the world.
