María Gabriela de Jesús Isler Morales is a Venezuelan beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe 2013. She was previously crowned Miss Venezuela 2012 and is the seventh and recent Miss Universe titleholder from Venezuela.[1][2]

Isler is the founder of the Universe of Blessings Fund, a charity organization that helps to educate adolescents in Venezuela.

Early and personal life[edit]

Isler was born in Valencia, Venezuela, to a Venezuelan mother and a Swiss father.[3][4] She grew up in Maracay and holds a BA in management and marketing from Universidad Tecnológica del Centro. At age 14, she started modeling to cheer her mother and grandmother up after her aunt died.[5]

Isler is the founder and CEO of the Universe of Blessings Fund.[6]

Pageantry[edit]

Miss Venezuela 2012[edit]

Isler competed as Miss Guárico, one of 24 finalists in Miss Venezuela 2012, on August 30, 2012 in Caracas, winning the Miss Elegance award.[7]

Miss Universe 2013[edit]

Isler represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2013, held on November 9 in Moscow, Russia. She was crowned Miss Universe 2013 by outgoing titleholder Olivia Culpo of the United States. On January 25, 2015, Isler passed her title to Paulina Vega, Miss Colombia 2014 at the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant at FIU Arena, Miami, Florida.
