Gary Andrew Sod (born 1950) is an American mathematician and scientific researcher.
Biography
He was born in 1950 in the United States.[1]
Education
He completed his AB, MA and PhD in applied mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.[2]
His doctoral dissertation supervisor was Alexandre Joel Chorin and his doctoral thesis was on A Numerical Solution of Boltzmann's Equation.[3][4]
Career
He became a professor of mathematics at Tulane University where he has supervised the doctoral dissertations of six students.[5]
