Major Gaurav Arya (born 25 September, 1972) is a retired Indian army officer. He is from 17th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment on March 5, 1994. He is presently working as Consulting Editor for Strategic Affairs at Republic Media Network.[2]
Career[edit]
Major Gaurav Arya retired from the Indian Army as Major in 1999 due to some serious health issues, which he faced due to his accidental burial in snow in 1996, when he was stationed at the 36 Sector aka Sugar Sector along the Line of Actual Control.[3]
After retirement from army Gaurav worked in private companies like Wipro, Ernst and young and Hutch (Vodafone). He was a CEO of Singapore based multi national company before joining media in 2017.[4]
Telivision career[edit]
Gaurav Arya founded Chankya forum, a Geopolitical, Foreign affairs and national security magazine. He is also a chief executive officer of this forum. He writes articles on 'Republic world' website.[4][5]
He is consulting editor for strategic affairs at Republic media network. [4]He hosts 'Patriot' show on Republic TV. In this show he takes interview of India armed forces soldiers also Arya anchors Blitzkrieg - a strategic affairs show on this channel.[4] He participate in different debates related to national security and foreign affairs on Republic TV and Republic Bharat, a Hindi news network.
He had spoke on TED talks, he is a public speaker. [4]
