Gbegiri Soup

Gbegiri soup is a very popular Nigerian beans soup, made with black eyed or brown beans from the south western part of Nigeria, gbegiri is mostly consumed by the Yoruba people as it is one of their major Soup delicacies.[1][2]

Gbegiri soup can be prepared with these ingredients, brown beans, palm oil, onion, seasoning cube, salt and pepper. You can also add optional ingredients like beef, cow meat, turkey, fish and so on.[3][1]

Gbegiri soup can be served alone but its popularly combined with ewedu soup called Abula. It can be eaten with any swallow like fufu, Amala, Eba, tuwo etc.[4][5]
