Gbenga Sogbaike is a Nigerian tech entrepreneur and CEO of Plaqad.[1][2] In 2019, he was named one of the 100 young African tech entrepreneurs by The Future Project, (organizers of Future Awards, and the #YTech100).[3][4][5] At the 2019 Lagos Social Media week, Sogbaike was a speaker at the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) session on ‘Fame, Fortune & The Business of Influence’ where he shared insights on the workings and trends of influencer marketing in Africa.[6][7]

Education and career[edit]

Sogbaike is an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology. In 2015, Sogbaike launched Time&Ink, a content marketing agency but later merged with Plaqad and was named CEO of the company.[8][9] After leaving Jobberman, Sogbaike worked with different brands and agencies including Black House Media. He contributes to publications such as The Huffington Post, Bizcommunity, Business2community and Glassdoor.[3][8]
